Back in April, while I still was in South Korea, I was contacted through instagram by Elizavecca. They wanted to send my some of their products to try and review (3 masks, a cream and this). I already posted them on my instagram, but I wanted to do a more "in-depth" review of this one.

Elizavecca seems to be a very instagram/social media based company. Which isn't a bad thing, but that makes it unknown to people who are not in the beauty/skincare community in social media platforms. Honestly, when I was in Seoul the only product I saw from the company was the bubble clay mask, and it wasn't in an eye-level shelve.


El pasado abril, mientras estaba todavía en Corea del Sur, Elizavecca se puso en contacto conmigo por instagram. Querían mandarme algunos productos suyos para que probar y diera mi opinión (3 mascarillas, una crema y esto). Ya lo publiqué en mi instagram, pero quería hacer una entrada más "en profundidad" de ésta.

Elizavecca para ser una compañía muy basada en instagram/redes sociales. Que no es que sea malo, pero eso hace que la gente que no está en el "mundo" de cuidado de la piel/belleza de instagram, youtube etc no conozca la marca. Sinceramente, cuando estaba en Seúl el único producto que vi de ellos fue la "bubble clay mask" (la mascarilla de arcilla que hace burbujas), y ni siquiera estaba a nivel de los ojos.

The Elizavecca Kangsi Pack Milky Piggy 24K Wash Off Mask is, according to the brand, a mask that "it visibly reduces pores; solution for pores, oiliness, dullness and uneven texture, blemishes:
Gold kangsipack Mask helps flush out environmental toxins, dirt, and debris that can clog pores and cause skin to look dull- leaving the complexion clarified, refreshed, and more youthful looking skin" (takien form the email the company sent me). It sounds really good, but for the pores bit- don't let cosmetics companies fool you, pores don't open and close.

"Kangsi" comes from the Chinese "Jiangsi", basically a walking corpse for which the western equivalent would be a zombie or even, in more modern stories, a vampire. If you're interested in reading about different cultures' folklore, like me, you can read here more about it. So basically what I assume is that what the company wanted to reflect when they named the product was that it will bring your face "back from the death".


La mascarilla wash off Kangsi Pack Milky Piggy 24K de Elizavecca es, según la marca, una mascarilla que reduce visiblemente los poros; solución para los poros, exceso de sebo, piel apagada y con textura heterogénea, granos: la mascarilla Gold Kangsipack ayuda a eliminar toxinas del ambiente, suciedad y limpiar la debris que puede obstruir los poros y hacer que la piel parezca apagada- dejando la piel limpia, fresca y pareciendo más joven. Suena muy bien pero, para la parte de los poros, no dejéis que las compañías de cosmética os engañen, los poros no se abren y cierran.

"Kangsi" deriva del chino "Jiangsi", básicamente un cuerpo andante para el que el equivalente en occidente sería el zombie o, en historias más modernas, el vampiro. Si estáis interesados en el folklore de diferentes culturas, como yo, os dejo aquí para que leáis sobre ello. Así que básicamente lo que creo que la compañía quería transmitir llamando así a la mascarillas es que tu piel "volverá de entre los muertos". 

The Elizavecca Kangsi Pack Milky Piggy 24K Wash Off Mask is a wash of mask that comes in a squeezable bottle of 120ml. Personally, this is my favorite type of packaging for wash off mask because it ensures that there won't be contamination of the product. The "dispenser" has a protective lid and it is packed in a cupboard box and nothing else, you know this is a winner for me.


La mascarilla wash off Kangsi Pack Milky Piggy 24K de Elizavecca es un tipo de mascarilla de las que hay que aclarar, en un bote de 120ml de capacidad. Personalmente, es como más me gusta que vengan las mascarillas de éste tipo porque así está asegurado que el producto no se va a contaminar. El "dispensador" tiene un plástico protector y viene en una caja de cartón y nada más, ya sabéis que esto es un punto muy positivo para mí.

The main selling point of this Elizavecca Kangsi Pack Milky Piggy 24K Wash Off Mask is probably how it has a gold color when out of the tube and first spread, but how while it dries down it starts getting white with the jelly/gel changing into a more clay-like texture. Because of that, I think some weird chemicals have to go in there... I guess. Reading the ingredients you can see that there's a los of fruit and flowers extracts, the second ingredient, silica, is a thickening agent and the third one is alcohol. You can read the ingredient list online here in Skincarisma. As to how it changes from color gold (definitely not 24k gold by the way, in case that needed explaining) to white... I don't know, I'm no chemist. If you know it don't hesitate to explain!

This Elizavecca Kangsi Pack Milky Piggy 24K Wash Off Mask smells great. At least for me. It's very fresh and wants to remind of flowers, but it's too artificial to remind of a particular one. Most of the times I don't like artificial smells on cosmetics because I get reminded every time I use those of the chemicals they have, but the freshness of this smell prevents that from happening.


Creo que la "estrategia" de márketing de ésta mascarilla wash off Kangsi Pack Milky Piggy 24K de Elizavecca es seguramente cómo se transforma de color dorado que tiene cuando sale del bote y se extiende, a como pasa a ser blanca y de textura, en vez de una mezcla entre gel/gelatina, más tirando a una mascarilla tradicional de arcilla. Yo creo para que eso ocurra tiene que haber algo raro químicamente hablando... creo. Leyendo los ingredientes se puede ver que hay muchos extractos de planta y flores, el segundo ingrediente, silica, es un agente de espesamiento y el tercer ingrediente es alcohol. Puedes leer la lista de ingredientes aquí en Skincarisma. Respecto a cómo cambia de color oro (que definitivamente no es oro de 24 quilates, por si eso necesitaba aclaración) a blanco... pues no tengo ni la más mínima idea, no soy química. ¡Pero si tú lo sabes no dudes en comentarlo abajo!

Ésta mascarilla wash off Kangsi Pack Milky Piggy 24K de Elizavecca huele genial. Bueno, por lo menos para mí. Es un olor muy fresco y quiere recordar a las flores, pero es demasiado artificial como para recordar a alguna en particular. La mayoría de las veces no me gustan los olores artificiales en los cosméticos porque me recuerdan todos los químicos que tienes, pero éste olor la verdad que previene eso.

So you basically apply the Elizavecca Kangsi Pack Milky Piggy 24K Wash Off Mask, which is a gel texture out off the tube, spreading it over the face. I find that it's very difficult to do a homogenous layer and I use a lot of it, a lot more than what I would use if it were a clay mask. I usually use a synthetic brush (flat foundation brush) but it seems to eat up this product, so I use my fingers instead.


Básicamente te aplicas las mascarilla wash off Kangsi Pack Milky Piggy 24K de Elizavecca, que tiene una textura tipo gel nada más salir del tubo, extendiéndola en la cara. La verdad es que me parece un poco difícil conseguir una aplicación homogénea y suele utilizar bastante, mucho más de lo que usaría si fuera una mascarilla de arcilla convencional. Normalmente uso una brocha de pelo sintético (una plana de base de maquillaje) pero no puedo con ésta porque parece que se la come, así que la extiendo con los dedos.

As you can see, after a few minutes the mask turns white. The thinner the layer the faster it will turn white. For the layer I usually apply on my face it takes about 10-15 minutes to be completely white, and that's when I remove it with water. Como podéis ver, después de unos minutos la mascarilla se vuelve blanca. Cuanto más fina sea la capa que se aplique antes pasará. Para lo que me doy yo en la cara normalmente tarda unos 10-15 minutos en estar completamente blanca, y es entonces cuando la retiro. The Elizavecca Kangsi Pack Milky Piggy 24K Wash Off Mask is a decent product that I use, most of the weeks, since it's summer, twice a week. Having oily skin and sunbathing makes a lot of sweat and oiliness, and already using green clay mask once a week, this is a perfect way to control oiliness during the week while not being overly drying. However, for the claims that it reduces the pores I've already said at the beginning that pores don't open and close, so that claim is obviously false. It does have a slightly brightening effect that I like, and that's why sometimes I use it on morning before doing my make up.


La mascarilla wash off Kangsi Pack Milky Piggy 24K de Elizavecca es un producto muy digno que uso la mayoría de las veces, como es verano, dos veces a la semana. Tengo la piel grasa y tomar el sol hace que sude mucho y aparezca más "grasa" que de costumbre, y como uso mascarillas de arcilla verde una vez a la semana, ésta es el complemento perfecto para controlar el sebo durante la semana sin secar la piel demasiado. Sin embargo, lo que dicen que reduce los poros ya os he comentado al principio que los poros no se abren y cierran, así que es obviamente falso. Sí que tiene un efecto sutil de proporcionar brillo a la cara que me gusta, por eso la uso a veces por las mañanas antes del maquillaje,

The Elizavecca Kangsi Pack Milky Piggy 24K Wash Off Mask is not a cheap product (it costs 28,000won in the official website) because it's not manufactured by a mega corporation. My opinion? If you have dry/normal skin and you don't like using clay masks, you could try using this once a week and see if it does something for you; for oily skins it's not a necessity but you could use it like me, as a complement to green clay. I will probably buy this next summer again, I'm really liking how it works.


La mascarilla wash off Kangsi Pack Milky Piggy 24K de Elizavecca no es un producto barato (cuesta 28.000won en la web oficial) porque no está fabricado por una mega corporación. ¿Mi opinión? Si tienes la piel seca/normal y no te gusta usar mascarillas de arcilla, prueba a usar ésta una a la semana a ver si te funciona; para piel grasa no la veo una necesidad pero la puedes usar como yo, como complementación a la arcilla verde. Probablemente la compre el verano que viene otra vez, em está gustando mucho cómo funciona.
