Innisfree It's Real Squeeze Masks review

Some of the most inexpensive sheet masks you're going to come across are the Innisfree It's Real Squeeze Masks, and that's a fact. A single one in South Korea can cost as little as 780W, which is about 0,60€. No, I didn't make a mistake, they are really under 1€ over there. So now you maybe understand why I don't like buying these with the overprice shops charge.

However, the Innisfree It's Real Squeeze Masks are still some of the most inexpensive sheet masks online, even buying it in 10 pieces packages, so when I saw  a very good deal online (I'll link it at the end) I thought I could stack up my sheet masks and at the same time do a review on these, because I realized a lot of people, specially those just starting in the whole korean skincare routine, can be overwhelmed with the amount of sheet masks in the market.


Unas de las mascarillas más baratas en el mercado son las Innisfree It's Real Squeeze Masks, y es un hecho. Una mascarilla de ésta en Corea cuesta unos 780W, que al cambio son más o menos 0,60€. No, no me he equivocado, de verdad que cuestan menos de 1€. Así que igual os podéis imaginar porqué no me gusta comprar éstas con el precio excesivo que tienen por internet.

Aún así, las Innisfree It's Real Squeeze Masks son también unas de las mascarillas más baratas por internet incluso en paquetes de 10, así que cuando encontré una oferta bastante buena online (pondré los links al final) pensé que era una buena oportunidad para poder tener mascarillas para un tiempo a la vez que para poder hacer una entrada sobre ellas, ya que sé que mucha gente, especialmente la que está empezando con la cosmética coreana, puede estar un poco perdida con tantas mascarillas en el mercado.

Innisfree It's Real Squeeze Masks ingredients

As far as ingredients go, all these Innisfree It's Real Squeeze Masks share the same composition except for that one ingredient that makes it different, usually placed on the 7th place, but not always. In the individual reviews I'll mention the different ingredients of each but overall, the not so great ingredients of these masks are alcohol, PEG-60 Hydrogenated castor oil, phenoxyethanol and, if you have a problem with it, fragrance. Which honestly looking how these are also the only ingredients that are not classified as totally save and hazard free by the EWG system, it's a pretty good ingredient list.


Todas las Innisfree It's Real Squeeze Masks comparten la misma composición con algún que otro ingrediente que las diferencie, que normalmente suele estar en el séptimo lugar, aunque no siempre. En las reseñas individuales explicaré las diferencias en ingredientes de cada una, pero en general los ingredientes que no son para echar cohetes son alcohol, PEG-60 Hydrogenates castor oil, phenoxyethanol y, si se tiene problemas con ello, fragancia. Que además son estos los únicos que según la clasificación EWG, no son totalmente seguros y libres de riesgo, por lo que la lista tampoco es tan mala.

Innisfree It's Real Squeeze Masks review

Before going on with the individual reviews, let me say that the Innisfree It's Real Squeeze Masks are far from being amazing sheet masks. As it happens with all the cheaper sheet masks, and specially cotton sheet masks, the only way you're going to notice permanent changes on your skin is by using them very regularly, I'd say more than two times a week. After the individual reviews I've written my personal favorites and the ones I recommend.

I also have to say that the fit of all these masks are almost perfect for my face, but of course that varies between different people. Also, that the recommended wear time is 10-20 minutes, but I wear them for 30-45 minutes before the t-zone starts drying out and I remove them.
Should also warn that the english "technical" words are kind of poor.


Antes de empezar con las reseñas individuales, decir que las Innisfree It's Real Squeeze Masks están lejos de ser unas mascarillas maravillosas. Como pasa con las mascarillas más baratas, especialmente las de algodón, de la única forma que se van a notar cambios permanentes en la piel es usándolas regularmente, diría que más de dos veces a la semana. Después de las opiniones individuales os diré también cuales son mis favoritas y las que recomiendo.
Decir también que la forma en la que se ajustan a mi cara es casi perfecta, salvo dos dobleces que tengo que hacer en la barbilla, pero que obviamente esto es algo totalmente subjetivo y que varía en cada persona. También, que el tiempo de usarla recomendado por la marca es de 10-20 minutos, pero que yo las suelo tener puestas hasta los 30-45 minutos, antes de que se empiece a secar la zona T.
También decir que las palabras "técnicas" en inglés dejan bastante que desear en inglés así que en castellano he hecho lo que he podido.

Innisfree It's Real Squeeze Mask Kiwi review

"This sheet mask with moisture from squeezed kiwis moisturizes skin to leave it feeling and looking smooth, clear and bright".

Different ingredients: This one has a pretty different ingredient list around the middle part, to name the most relevant ones actinida chinesis (kiwi) fruit juice, dimethicone (a silicone based polymer that smoothes the skin but can clog pores). The 4th ingredient is cetyl ethylhexanoate, which is used to makes skin softer and hydrated. Very similar composition to the acai berry and black berry masks. 

Opening these reviews with a good start, the Innisfree It's Real Squeeze Kiwi Mask is one of my favorites. It doesn't smell like kiwi to me, more like fake-strawberry yogurt. It hydrates and smoothes the skin with just one wear, and the smoothness at least lasts until the following morning. This is obviously due to, in a big part, dimethicone which I'm not really fond off. 

But I like the mask so totally recommend it!


"Ésta mascarillas con "hidratación" (nota: literalmente dicen "humedad", por lo que sería humectante, pero aunque esté mal, utilizaré en todas hidratante) extraída de los kiwis hidrata la piel para dejarla suave, clara y brillante".

Ingredientes diferentes: Ésta tiene una lista de ingredientes bastante diferente hacia la mitad, así que para nombrar sólo los más relevantes son zumo de fruta de actinida chinesis (kiwi), dimethicone (un polímero con base de silicona, que suaviza la piel pero puede obstruir los poros). El 4º ingrediente es cetyl ethylhexanoate, que se suele utilizar para hacer la piel más suave e hidratarla. Tiene una composición muy similar a las de baya de acai y mora.
Para empezar estás mini-reseñas con buen pie, la Innisfree It's Real Squeeze Kiwi Mask es una de mis favoritas. No me huele como kiwi, si no más bien a yogur de fresa artificial. Hidrata y suaviza mucho la piel con utilizarla una vez, y la suavidad dura hasta por lo menos la mañana siguiente. Esto se debe en gran medida al dimethicone, que la verdad que no soy muy fan de él.
¡Pero me gusta mucho! Totalmente recomendada.

Innisfree It's Real Squeeze Mask Acai Berry review

"This sheet mask with squeezed acai berry is full of nutrients to keep skin looking firmer and smoother".

Different ingredients: almost the same as kiwi and black berry, euterpe oleracea fruit extract (acai berry extract) is on the 7th place and aloe barbadensis leaf juice (aloe vera) on the 15th.

The essence is milky and white. I don't know how are acai berries supposed to smell, but this smells like they tried to gimmick some food and failed. Although it is an artificial smell, it doesn't displease me. It took me a lot of patting for the leftover essence to absorb after I removed the mask, and I didn't notice anything apart from hydration.

It would be good to add another hydrating step into a routine, but nothing really more.


"Ésta mascarilla con bayas de acai exprimidas está llena de nutrientes para hacer que la piel parezca más tersa y suave".

Diferentes ingredientes: casi igual que la de kiwi y mora, extracto de fruta de euterpe oeracea (baya de acai) está en el 7º puesto y "zumo" de hoja aloe barbadensis en el 15º.
La esencia es lechosa y blanca. No sé cómo se supone que tienen que oler las bayas de acai, pero ésta huele como si hubieran intentado imitar el olor de alguna comida y hubieran fallado. Aunque es un olor artificial, tampoco me molesta. Me costó bastante más tiempo del normal que la piel absorbiera la esencia cuando me quité la mascarilla, y no noté nada aparte de la hidratación.
Sería una buena opción para añadir otro paso de hidratación a la rutina, pero nada más la verdad.

Innisfree It's Real Squeeze Mask Green Tea review

"This sheet mask with moisture from fresh squeezed green tea moisturizes skin from deep within for a dewy look".

Different ingredients: the "main ingredient" is on the usual 7th place, camellia sinensis (green tea) leaf extract. In the last few positions there are bergamot, orange and tangerine extracts, as well as lactic (AHA), ascorbic (vitamin C) and citric (good for calming down acne) acids. 

The essence is clear and smooth. It smells softly to other green tea/tea tree skincare products, which I prefer since I don't like that smell. It didn't hydrate as much as the blacberry and acai berry masks, but it calmes down redness in my cheeks a lot. 

A good mask to have in hand when you have a breakout or have redness due to stress.


"Ésta mascarilla con hidratación de té verde recién exprimido hidrata la piel desde dentro para un aspecto jugoso".

Diferentes ingredientes: el "ingrediente principal" está en el usual puesto número 7, extracto de hoja de camellia sinensis (té verde). En las últimas posiciones están los extractos de bergamota, naranja y mandarina y ácidos láctico (AHA9, ascorbic (Vitamina C) y cítrico (para calmar el acné).
La esencia es clara y suave. Huele ligeramente como otros productos de cuidado de la piel de té verdad/árbol de té, que lo prefiero porque no em gusta ése olor. No me hidrata tanto como por ejemplo las de mora o baya de acai, pero me calma mucho las rojeces.
Una buena mascarilla para tener a mano en caso de un brote de acné.

Innisfree It's Real Squeeze Mask Cucumber review

"This sheet mask with moisture from fresh squeezed cucumbers provides abundant moisture to the skin".

Different ingredients: cucumis sativus (cucumber) juice on the 7th place.

It has a very fresh smell and the essence is clear. It did hydrate my skin but it felt really uncomfortable while I was wearing it, I kept on readjusting it because I felt like it was slipping through my face (although I think it was just a feeling).

"Ésta mascarilla con hidratantes de pepinos recién exprimidos proporciona abundante hidratación a la piel":

Ingredientes diferentes: zumo de cucumis sativus (pepino) en el 7º puesto.
Tiene un olor muy fresco y la esencia es clara. Hidrata mucho la cara pero la noté un poco incómoda, sentía que se me resbalaba y estaba todo el rato reajustándomela (aunque la verdad, creo que era simplemente la sensación). La esencia se absorbe bastante rápido una vez retirada la mascarillas, lo que permite hacer la rutina de forma más rápida.

Innisfree It's Real Squeeze Mask Blackberry review

"With moisture from squeezed blackberries that are full of nourishment to keep the skin healthy".

Different ingredients: very similar to the acai berry and kiwi masks, the rubus fruticosus (blackberry) juice is at the 7th place and adenosine (basically one of the best skincare ingredients for hydration and youth-looking skin) on the 15th.

This feels very similar to the acai berry one, in both that the essence is also white a kind of thick and in the smell. It also feels really similar on the skin, but I definitely notice more of a hydration with this one.

"Con hidratación de moras recién exprimidas que están llenas de nutrición para mantener la piel sana".

Ingredientes diferentes: muy parecida a las de baya de acai y kiwi, el zumo de rubus fructicosus (mora) es´ta en el 7º puesto y adenosina (básicamente uno de los mejores ingredientes para hidratar la piel y que parezca más joven) en el 15º.
La sensación es muy similar a la de baya de acai, ya que en las dos la esencia es blanca y algo gorda y tienen olores muy similares. También dan una sensación muy parecida en la piel, pero noto mucha más hidratación con ésta.

Innisfree It's Real Squeeze Mask Strawberry review

"With moisture from squeezed strawberries for skin that's smooth and bright".

Different ingredients: the strawberry extract (fragaria chiloensis fruit juice) in on the 8th place because niacinamide (Vitamin B3 and, like adenosine, one of the best skincare ingredients) is on the 4th.

This mask literally smells like strawberry yogurt! It sweet and a little bit overwhelming at first.

The essence is a bit more thick than, for example, the cucumber one, but still transparent so not like the shea butter. It was a little bit uncomfortable and even if I was reclined (not fully seated but neither layed down... that's the word right?) it slipped a lot from my chin. It also made my chin area tickle at the beginning and when I took it off the area was red.

Luckily it was not important and it calmed down by the last steps of the routine but, I'm not gonna be repurchasing this one specifically.


"Con hidratación de fresas exprimidas para una piel suave y brillante".

Diferentes ingredientes: el extracto de fruta (zumo de fragaria chiloensis) está en el 8º lugar ya que la niacinamida (Vitamina B3 y, como la adenosina, uno de los mejores ingredientes) está el 4º.
La verdad que huele como los yogures de fresa. Es dulce y como que un pelín demasiado al principio. La esencia es más gorda que la de calabacín, pero transparente así que no llega a ser como la de manteca de karité (que es blanca).
Estaba recostada llevándola y aún así se me escurría de la barbilla. Además, al poco de ponerla me empezó a picar un poco en la barbilla aunque luego pasó. Al quitármela ésa zona estaba roja, aunque no fue nada importante ya que al terminar la rutina ya había desaparecido, pero no hará que vuelva a comprar específicamente.

Innisfree It's Real Squeeze Mask Rose review

"With fragrant moisture squeezed from roses leaves skin looking smooth and radiant".

Different ingredients: rosa centifolia flower juice.

It definitely smells like roses, the same way a bloomed rose garden smells (but softer obviously). I really like scented cosmetics and I was pleasantly surprised that the smell kind of faded, but still managed to last through my almost 45 minutes of wear- unlike other masks from this line.

It's supposed to make skin radiant and smooth. I was expecting the same good results I got with the Kiwi mask regarding smoothness, but it barely did nothing (and it neither brightened up my skin).

Despite it just being hydrating, and nothing more, I like the smell a lot, so I will probably buy this again sometimes when I want to smell something similar to roses.


"Con hidratación fragante de rosas exprimidas deja la piel pareciendo suave y radiante".

Diferentes ingredientes: zumo de flow rosa centifolia.
Huele a rosas totalmente, como cuando se está en un jardín de rosas en flor (pero más suave obviamente). Me gusta mucho que los cosméticos tengan olores, así que cuando además noté que, a pesar de ir perdiendo intensidad, el olor de ésta mascarilla duró todo el tiempo que la llevé (casi 1h) me sorprendió mucho, ya que a otras mascarillas de la línea no les dura el olor.
Se supone que hace la piel más suave y la ilumina. Después de mi buena experiencia con la de Kiwi en cuanto a suavizar la piel esperaba que ésta también lo hiciera, pero no ha sido el caso (y tampoco he notado mejoría en la "iluminación" de la piel).
A pesar de que simplemente hidrata, estoy pensando en volver a comprarla simplemente por el olor.

Innisfree It's Real Squeeze Mask Aloe review

"With fresh moisture squeezed from aloe vera to fully moisturize and soothe the skin".

Different ingredients: aloe barbadensis leaf juice.

Smells like regular face cream with a touch of the aloe vera plant smell. The essence is of the clear and fine kind, and it's really refreshing on the skin. Afterwards, the skin is definitely refreshed and moisturized, and it calms redness in the face a lot.

Definitely one of my favorites for instant hydration, together with a couple of others.


"Con hidratación fresca exprimida de aloe vera para hidratar y calmar por completo la piel".
Ingredientes diferentes: zumo de hoja aloe barbadensis.
Huelo como una crema normal queriéndole salir el olor del aloe vera. La esencia es clara y poco espesa y muy refrescante en la piel. Después de retirar la mascarilla la piel está definitivamente refrescada e hidratada, además de que calma mucho las rojeces de la cara.
Definitivamente una de mis favoritas para hidratación inmediata junto con un par más.

Innisfree It's Real Squeeze Mask Pomegranate review

"With moisture from squeezed pomegranates leaves skin feeling firm and supple".

Different ingredients: punica granatum fruit juice, adenosine.

The essence is again the clear kind, and is very comfortable to wear. The smell isn't really something to talk paragraphs about, it's chemically but not strong, like they tried to mimic a smell and failed. It soothes skin and leaves it smooth, although not as much as the kiwi one. This one is one of my favorites without doubt, even if it doesn't do anything spectacular, wearing it is very pleasant.


"Con hidratación de granadas exprimidas deja la piel firme y flexible".

Ingredientes diferentes: zuma de fruta de punica granatum, adenosina.
La esencia es una vez más de las transparente y es muy cómoda de tener puesta. El olor no es algo sobre lo que estar días hablando, es químico pero no fuerte, como si hubiera intentado imitar un olor y fallado. Calma la piel y la deja suave, aunque no tanto como la de kiwi. Ésta es una de mis favoritas sin duda, aunque en realidad no hace nada espectacular, el tenerla puesta es muy agradable.

"With refreshing moisture squeezed from limes leaves skin looking bright and clear".

Different ingredients: niacinamide on the 4th, citrus aurantifolia (lime) juice on the 8th.

The essence is transparent. Being totally honest, this smells like dishwasher (the liquid soap, not the machine) to me. It feels really cool and fresh, giving the skin a cold feeling and is very pleasant to have on. Afterwards skin is really bright and refreshed, would make a good morning mask.

"Con hidratación refrescante de limas exprimidas deja la piel luminosa y clara".

Ingrediente diferentes. niacinamide en el 4º, zumo de citrus aurantifolia (lima) en el 8º.

La esencia es transparente. Siendo totalmente sincera, ésta huelo como lavavajillas (el jabón líquido, no el electrodoméstico). Da a la piel una sensación fría y fresca, y es muy agradable de llevar. Al quitársela, la piel está refrescada y luminosa, por lo que puede ser una buena mascarilla para usar por las mañanas.

"With nutrient-rich manuka honey moisturizes dry and stiff skin for a dewy look".

Different ingredients: honey extract, aloe barbadensis leaf juice.

For what we could expect of a product with "honey" in it, the essence of this mask is just transparent and like the other ones, watery, not stickiness to it at all. I would also say this is the most unscented mask from all the line, with a little bit of an unpleasant smell trying to come through.

I always wear this mask as my last step before applying moisturizer, after toner, essences etc, to kind of "hold" it together; this is the best way to apply any honey product so I got with it. Afterwards, it doesn't require a lot of patting for the leftover essence to be absorbed and skin is looking hydrated and plump. 


"Con miel de manuka rica en ingredientes hidrata la piel seca y rígida para otorgarle un aspecto jugoso".

Ingredientes diferentes: extracto de miel, zumo de hoja de aloe barbadensis.
Para lo que se puede esperar de un producto que contiene la palabra "miel" en él, la esencia de ésta mascarilla es simplemente transparente y, como las otras, parecida al agua, no es pegajosa para nada. También creo que ésta es la que menos olor tiene de toda la gama, y que el poco olor que distingo al sacarla de paquete no es agradable.
Las veces que he usado ésta mascarilla ha sido en el último paso antes de la crema hidratante, para que "retenga" todo lo anterior. Es la mejor forma para utilizar productos que contengan miel así que sigo ese consejo. Al quitársela no se necesitan muchos "golpecitos" para que la esencia se absorba del todo y la piel está hidrata y brillante.

"This sheet mask with incredible moisturizing capacity of shea butter delivers moisture deep into dry an parched skin".

Different ingredients: It has quite a lot of different ingredients comparing it with all the other ones, the most notable ones being dimethicone on the 9th and butyrospermum parkii (shea butter) on the 11th. It has the special ingredient kind of low, which surprised me.

The essence is white and milky but not as thick as the blueberry or acai berry masks. The smell is subtle and like a regular cream moisturizer. The skin is super moisturized after using it and it just glows. The leftover essence absorbs quickly, which is always good.

"Ésta mascarilla con la increíble capacidad de hidratar de la manteca de karité proporciona hidratación intensa a la piel seca y cuarteada".

Ingredientes diferentes: tiene bastante ingredientes diferentes comparándola con las demás, los más importantes en mi opinión son dimethicone en el 9º lugar y butyrospermum parkii (manteca de karité" en el 11º. La verdad que me sorprendió ver el ingredientes "especial" tan bajo en la lista.

La esencia es blanca y lechosa, pero no tan gorda como la de mora o baya de acai. El olor es sutil y como el de una crema hidratante común. La piel está súper hidrata después de llevarla y simplemente brilla. La esencia que se queda en la piel se absorbe rápido, lo que siempre es bueno.

Innisfree It's Real Squeeze Mask Tea Tree review

"This mask with tea tree oil helps the appearance of skin problems while keeping skin moisturized and clean".

Different ingredients: melaleuca alternifolia (tea tree) leaf extract, aloe barbadensis leaf juice.

The essence is transparent and smells like other tea tree products but, luckily for me, not as strong. It instantly gives the skin a soothing sensation and feels kinda cold, much more than the other ones. However I also noticed it dried faster than the others and wasn't particularly good at hydrating and neither at reducing redness caused by pimples.


"Ésta mascarilla con árbol de té ayuda a mejorar el aspecto de los "problemas" (problemas es como en corea se refieren por lo general al acné) mientras la deja hidratada y limpia".

Ingredientes diferentes: extracto de hoja de malaleuca alternifolia (árbol de té), zumo de hoja de aloe barbadensis.
La esencia es transparente y huele como otros productos de árbol de té, pero por suerte para mí, no tan fuerte. Da a la piel una sensación calmante al ponérsela, así como de frío, mucho más que las otras. De todas formas, también noté que se seca antes que otras y que no era muy buena hidratando y tampoco en calmar las rojeces de los granos.

Innisfree It's Real Squeeze Mask Bamboo review

"With bamboo extract to quench the thirst of the skin and keep the skin moisturized".

Different ingredients: bambusa vulgaris extract, aloe barbadensis leaf juice.

The essence is, again, the clear type. I don't know how bamboo is supposed to smell, but the smell of this mask is very herbal and pleasant, almost relaxing.

It calms and hydrates my skin, and if I use it when I'm having slightly flaky skin, after using this it's almost completely gone, so that way I know it really hydrates and it isn't just gimmicks.


"Con extracto de bambú para calmar la sed de la piel y mantenerla hidratada".

Ingredientes diferentes: extracto de bambusa vukgaris, zumo de hoja de aloe barbadensis.
La esencia, una vez más, es de las transparentes. No sé cómo se supone que tiene que oler el bambú, pero el olor de ésta mascarilla me parece herbal y muy agradable, casi relajante.
Clama e hidrata la piel, y si la uso cuando tengo la piel un poco pelada, después de usarla la descamación se elimina casi completamente, así que sé que hidrata y no sólo lo parece.

Innisfree It's Real Squeeze Mask Bija review

"With fresh bija tree seed oil (torreya seed oil) helps with the appearance of skin problems while keeping it moisturized and clean"

Different ingredients: aloe barbadensis leaf juice on the 10th, torreya nucifera seed oil on the 11th. It's the only one, with he shea butter one, that has the "special" ingredient this low on the list.
The essence is clear and doesn't have much of an smell to to it. Redness calm down and skin is moisturized after wearing it, but it's not as good at those two as, for example, the aloe one. It's a nice quick mask but that's about it.


"Con aceite de semilla de bija fresco (aceite de semilla de torreya) ayuda con la apariencia de los problemas (nota: se refieren a espinillas) de la piel mientras que la mantiene hidratada y limpia".

Ingredientes diferente: zumo de hoja de aloe barbadensis en el 10º, aceite de semilla de torreya nucifera en el 11º. Es la única, junto con la de manteca de karité, de toda la gama que tiene el ingrediente "especial" tan banjo en la lista.
La esencia es clara y no tiene mucho olor. Las rojeces se calman y la piel está hidratada después de llevarla, pero no es tan buena en las dos, por ejemplo, la de aloe. Es una mascarilla rápida agradable, pero tampoco nada más.

Recommendations

Without doubt, my recommendations from the Innisfree It's Real Squeeze Masks are the ones that I feel provide the best hydration and sootheness to the skin: shea butter, manuka honey, cucumber and aloe.
I also really really enjoy the pomegranate, blackberry and kiwi ones. And if you want something inexpensive that smells like real roses, the rose one also.


Sin duda, mis recomendaciones de las Innisfree It's Real Squeeze Masks son las que creo que aportan hidratación y calman la piel: manteca de karité, miel de manuka, pepina y aloe.
También me gusta mucho mucho la de granada, mora y kiwi. Y si te apetece algo que no sea caro pero huela como rosas de verdad, la de rosa también.

Innisfree It's Real Squeeze Masks review

Even if the Innisfree It's Real Squeeze Masks are not the best masks in the market, they still make great every-day masks, specially for those living in Europe, like me, who don't have access to masks with their real price.

I bought them on Cosmetic-Love here. It's been the only place online where I haven't seen them overpriced (each one cost 0.86$, similar to the price in South Korea).

Aunque las Innisfree It's Real Squeeze Masks no son las mejores mascarillas del mercado, son a fin de cuenta unas buenas mascarillas para uso diario, especialmente para aquellos, como yo, que viven en Europa y no tienen acceso a mascarillas en su precio real.

Éstas de las fotos las compré en Cosmetic-Love aquí. Ha sido el único sitio online en el que no las he visto hinchadas de precio (cada una cuesta 0,86$, precio similar al que tienen en Corea del Sur).
