Truthfully speaking, Etude House is usually a brand I tend to stay away from: their products are adorable, but I never trust them enough to buy them. I always see it as a brand targeted towards teenagers and therefore I don't take it too seriously.

With somethings I'm no able to resists myself, like it happened when I went to Seoul with the Oil Control Paper Pact (see it in their website) and one of their brushes. I was pleasantly surprised with both of them, so when the Sunlight Tear eye liner caught my eye online, I didn't give it much tough to buy it. I also bought with it the White Tear color, because it was a 2x1 deal.

In Etude House's words "this liquid liner contains superfine glitters in a clear base to give eyes a sparkling and dazzling effect". You bet you are going to, these just screams sparkly! And I love it because of that. I feel that when doing glitter liners is go big or go home kind of situation, but that's just my opinion.

I first looked this kind of product when I was in Seoul, because girls there use these liners mostly in the lower lash line, to give a cuter appearance to the eyes, to make the eye bags more noticeable, and that's such a different approach to make up that I was just really curious. It goes without saying that I'm never going to try that out (outside my home) because I think it just looks ridiculous in our (westener) eyes.

The bottle is plastic, so don't worry thinking it may break. I love how long the cap is, I hate when liner have short caps because I can never do the lines as good. The brush is pretty dense and even is it's flexible, it's not so flexible that you can't draw a good fine line, it's very easy to work with it.

I was excited when I first swatched them in my hands, because just.look.how.sparkly these are! When I first wore them I was so disappointed though. I wanted to use these ones not only for lightening up the inner corner of the eyes, or giving pops of light to shadows, but also to do glittery cat eyes when I felt like it.

However, they are not pigmented (if thats the words appropiate or this kind a liquid product) enough. The liner was difficult to see even in person, and if I applied any more product I would start having a layer too thick. I couldn't take any proper photos with my DSLR camera, but here's a selfie I took months ago, I think it was January (excuse my rebellious skin). The one I was wearing is Etude House Sunlight Tear Eye Liner.

To say I'm disappointed in these ones doesn't even cover it. I think it's because I wanted to like them so much that even if in the back of my head there was a voice telling me "remember the brand and its target audience" I wanted to like them because sparks!! They don't even last in the inner corner by the way, I did my make up one night as using them as highlighters for the inner corners of the eyes and when I went back home I could barely notice them.

I still use them from time to time during daytime but everytime I'm reminded of the disappointment... Sadly, this is a thing I regret buying. Sigh.
