The Skinfood Black Raspberry eye cream is one of the many eye cream Skinfood have. I was finishing my previous one and I was searching in an online store for another one, and since this was one of the first options to pop up, of course I bought it (you know that I love Skinfood).

La crema de ojos de Skinfood Black Raspberry  es una de las múltiples cremas para los ojos que tiene Skinfood. Estaba terminando mi crema de ojos anterior y estaba buscando en una tienda online la próxima que comprarme, me salió ésta como opción, así que me la compré (así, sin más. Ya sabéis que soy muy fan de Skinfood).

Some people don't believe in a cream specially for the eye area or even that the eye area should be hydrated. If you get wrinkles in every place in the face, what do you think happens with the eyes that are in constant movement? I'm actually very pro-eye cream, and I never use the same moisturizer as the one I use for my face because, normally, eye creams have a gentler formulation more appropriate for the skin around the eyes.

Mucha gente no cree en las cremas específicas para la zona de los ojos, o incluso en darse crema en la zona. Si salen arrugas y líneas de expresión por toda la cara, ¿qué creéis que pasa con los ojos que están en constante movimiento? Soy muy pro-cremas de ojos, y nunca utilizo la misma que utilizo como hidratante de cara porque, normalmente, las cremas de ojos son específicas para la zona, que es mucho más sensible.

Skinfood Black Raspberry eye cream comes in a (gorgeous) crystal jar with cardboard screwcap. The screwcap is "protected" with a very pretty but unpractical paper wrapping, that as soon as I took these photos I throw it out. As you can see in the plastic attached to the glass and in the screwcap, the quantity is 25grams, which is fairly more than other eye creams I've had. It doesn't cost much more than 10€ neither (in Korea).

La Skinfood Black Raspberry eye cream viene en un tarrito (precioso) de cristal con tapa a rosca de cartón. El tapón está "protegido" por un papel muy mono pero poco práctico, que tiré a la basura nada más sacar éstas fotos. Como se puede ver en el plastiquito que viene en el tarro y en la tapa, contiene 25g, que es bastante más que otras cremas de ojos que he tenido. La crema tampoco cuesta mucho (en Corea), poco más que 10€.

It comes with a safety plastic lid which you know I really like. At first it was very easy to take the product out of the jar with my fingers, but now I have to use a plastic spatula, otherwise I would have eye cream under my nails 100% of the time.

Tiene también una tapita de plástico que sabéis que me encanta. Al principio era muy fácil poder coger producto con los dedos, pero al ir avanzando tuve que empezar a utilizar una espátula a no ser que quisiera acabar con producto bajo las uñas el 100% de las veces.

Skinfood Black Raspberry eye cream is a moisturizer cream with anti wrinkle properties. Well, that's what the brand says but truthfully, every hydrating cream should be anti wrinkle, since one of the reasons wrinkle appear is because of a lack of hydration on the skin. It contains adenosine (I already explained in this entry what that is) so at least it has really hydrating ingredients.

Other ingredients that the brand highlights in the website are black raspberry extract (hence the name of the eye cream) and jayangboeumdan and cheongyeondan extracts (which are herbal extracts) from "12 kinds of oriental medicine herbs that have traditionally been used by women to treat rough, dry skin". Those two terms seem to be terms ro refer to the hydrating extracts, with no translation.

Bueno, eso es lo que dice la compañía pero, en realidad, todas las cremas hidratantes deberían ser anti arrugas, ya que una de las razones por la que aparecen las arrugas es por falta de hidratación en la piel. Ésta crema contiene adenosina (que ya expliqué lo que es en ésta entrada) así que por lo menos tiene ingredientes muy hidratantes.

Otros ingredientes que la marca resalta en la página web son extracto de frambuesa negra (de ahí el nombre) y extractos de jayangboeumdan y cheongyeondan (que son extractos de plantas) de 12 tipos diferentes de hierbas de medicina oriental que han sido utilizados tradicionalmente por mujeres para tratar la piel seca. Esos dos términos en coreano parecen referirse a extractos hidratante y no creo que tengan traducción.

Skinfood Black Raspberry eye cream is a thick cream that is very moisturizing. However, the thickness also comes with greasiness, which was great at first to hydrate my dehydrated (huh) eyelids, but after that I really have to control the quantity. For that same reason it takes more time than other eye creams I've used to be fully absorbed by the skin, and until that happens the eyelids are slippery and kind of greasy. 

The first time I opened the jar I loved the smell, a mix of regular chemical smell and strong fruit scent. However the more I've used Skinfood Black Raspberry eye cream, the more I don't care for the smell, it smells the same, but my opinion on it has changed, and now I think it smells like old wine. Which might be fine for someone that like wine, but that isn't me.

Skinfood Black Raspberry eye cream es una crema gorda, muy hidratante. Sin embargo, el que sea gorda acarrea que también sea grasienta, que al principio me vino genial para hidratar los párpados deshidratados, pero después he tenido que controlar mucho la cantidad. Por ésa misma razón tarda más que otras cremas en ser completamente absorbida, y hasta que lo hace, los párpados tienen están resbaladizos y con sensación grasienta.

La primera vez que abrí el tarro me encantó el olor, una mezcla de el olor químico de las cremas y olor a frutas muy fuerte. Cuanto más la he ido utilizando más he cambiado de opinión, es algo que ya me es indiferente, y que a pesar de seguir teniendo el mismo olor, a mi ahora me huele como el vino viejo. Que puede ser algo que guste, pero a mí no.

The Skinfood Black Raspberry eye cream is clearly a good hydrating eye cream, but in my opinion way too hydrating. If you live in a humid place or have oily eyelids I wouldn't recommend this to you, however I think it's great if you have dry eyelids.

This was ridiculously overpriced where I bough it, so I'm not going to link you to it.

La crema de ojos Skinfood Black Raspberry es claramente una crema hidratante muy buena, pero en mi opinión quizás demasiado hidratante. No la recomendaría si se vive en un clima muy húmedo o se tiene la zona de los ojos grasa, sin embargo es muy buena si se tiene seca.

Donde la compré tenía el precio hinfladísimo así que no pondré link.

PS: After taking these photos I also took out the plastic because ~aesthetics~, this jar is just so pretty to have anything covering it.

Postdata: Después de sacar las fotos quité el plastiquito porque ~aesthetics~, el tarro es demasiado bonito como para que haya nada tapándolo.
