I gotta confess: when I first saw the new Nars Audacious lipsticks' swatches on Temptalia some months (I think it was months) ago, I was not impressed at all. Everyone seemed to be loving them, but I was just like "meh", not a single color I thought it was worth of the 30€ they cost here in Spain.
But then, it was my birthday and I headed to Sephora (as I always do). And searching through the Nars stand... well, my perspective changed. Both me and my best friend fell in love with the "Claudia" color. Like, literally. We were both looking for more things that could be elegible for buying as an auto-present and my friend kept teeling me :"nah, the lipstick". And she's the kind of girl that never shops just because (good thing of going shopping with my best friend: she's the one controlling how much I spend and she stops me when I cross the line). So, obviously, it was the lipstick what I ended up getting.
Lo confieso: la primera vez que vi los"swatch" de la nueva colección de Nars (Audacious) no me gustó. Bueno, me fue indiferente, no había ni un sólo color que me dijera "este!".
En mi cumpleaños fui a Sephora, en busca del auto-regalo anual. Fui con mi mejor amiga primera al stand de Nars y en fin, nos enamoramos del color "Caudia". Pero de verdad. Porque seguíamos dando vueltas por Sephora viendo a ver qué más podía servir de auto-regalo y ella (que siempre es de las que me para en las compras, nunca compra porque sí) me estaba venga a decir que no, que el pintalabios, que no buscara más. Así que el pintalabios fue lo que terminé eligiendo.

Packaging
Box? Black, sober. Good, but nothing special about it. It comes with a second cupboard box inside to give more protection to the lipstick itself- good!.
Now, the lipstick packaging. I adore it. I've seen the Nars regular lipstick and while nice, it is not as good as the Audacious' ones. See how the "NARS" letters are there, but as a part of it, not in a "look it's from Nars!!" kind of way. The tube its metalic- yes- And with magnetic closure- yes!. Good one for whoever thought about it, because otherwise, for the amount of €€ this costs, I would be really worried wondering if it will open in my purse.
Only thing bad about it? Fingertips stay like crazy.

La caja es negra y sobria, nada que se salga de lo común. Viene con otra caja de cartón dentro para proteger más al producto.
La carcasa me encanta. Es metálica, y las letras se pueden ver pero de una forma que se integran con él, no en plan "mira!! soy de Nars!!!" (cosa que odio, por cierto, que las marcas sean visibles). Además, el cierre es magnetico! No sé a quién se le ocurriría pero A+, porque para lo que cuesta esta barra de labios me plantearía muy mucho el llevarla en el bolso si fuera cierre corriente.
Lo único malo que puedo sacar (y por sacar algo malo) es que se quedan las huellas de los dedos en la carcasa de la barra.

Everyone and their moms (well, at least everyone that know about my makeup obsession) knows that pink and red lips are my favorite. So it's not really a surprise that I got this blue based pink.
I know. It does seem like a ridiculous amount for 30€, but it's actually 4.2g- against the 3g that for example has MAC's Russian Red (shade I own, that's why I'm comparing it with). It gives total full-coverage in the first stroke. It is a cream, but it does last a lot: drinks, food etc (mind you, not greasy foods of course- not miracles here). It is also not drying at all.

Todos lo que conocen mi obsesión por el maquillaje saben lo que me gustan las barras de labios en tonos rosas y rojos, así que tampoco es ninguna sorpresa que me haya decantando por este rosa con subtono azul.
Sé que parece ridícula la cantidad de producto en relación al precio (30 €). Pero bueno, en realidad son 4.2g, que por ejemplo el MAC Russian Red (tono que tengo, por eso lo comparo con él) tiene 3g. Que sí, que es mucho dinero, pero por lo menos viene mucho producto. La textura es cremosa, pero aguanta mucho tanto a bebidas como a comidas (a ver, no a comidas grasientas, pero es que tampoco pueden hacer milagros....). No reseca nada los labios.
So, worth the money? Yes but only if you can afford to spend 30€ on a lipstick. As a treat, as a gift- absolutely! If you're looking for a pink shade "just because" and can't really afford this one... reach out for Sleek, L'Oreal, MAC and those brands, because they have great lipsticks for more than half of the money this one costs.
Como conclusión: ¿vale lo que cuesta? Totalmente. ¿Diría que es una barra de labios necesaria? Sólo si puedes permitirte el gastar 30€ en ello. Si lo que busca es un rosa, porque te gustan, pero no puedes encontrar una excusa para gastarte 30€ en un pintalabios... busca en Sleek, L'Oreal, MAC y ese tipo de marcas, porque tienes excelentes por más de la mitad de precio.
