Yes, I totally did it, I became a basic IG girl (note: joke) and totally bought from Glossier. After literal months of browsing through their website, of reading reviews on instagram wether I was searching for them or not, and after being bombarded with dozens or even thousands of photos for months, I finally decided to gave in and I placed my first ever Glossier order.

Glossier is a brand that is all the rave if you're on instagram, but probably don't really know a lot about it even if you've seen any of their products around the internet because there's no escaping to photos of the ultimate-aesthetic goals products that this brand has designed.

Just in case you don't know, Glossier was founded by Emily Weiss, who also founded Into The Gloss, a beauty and skincare blog that you maybe only know of if you're American or absolutely obsessed with skincare. I personally like the blog to read about things I know I'm never ever going to use, I'm not their target demographic at all (same way I started to watch and read Karima Mckimmie years ago when she was still Shameless Fripperies and only featured super ultra high-end make up brands on her videos and blog posts).

Like, I feel that if Blair Waldorf were a real person she would be obsessed with Into The Gloss, but in her case because she would be the perfect example of ITG's target demographic. I can go weeks without reading an article, and then start reading one at 10pm as my last blog-reading before bed, fall down a rabbit hole, and the next thing I know is 3am and I'm reading about overpriced candles

But this isn't about Into The Gloss, it's about Glossier. And I actually think I'm Glossier's target demographic, because I think that Glossier aim to be for everyone, not just rich girls from NYC with Birkins in their arms, but also the girl who doesn't want to do the "instagram thot makeup" (but, I'm not gonna lie, I think it does have a little bit of that ~clique~ feeling to it). Glossier's approach to beauty and make up specially is similar to the one in South Korea, but westernized. And I much prefer it (you know I'm not the biggest fan of Korean make up, what can I say).

Glossier is a brand that has some skincare products, for which the Milky Jelly cleanser is probably the most famous one, but also has some interesting make up products. For this last category I can't count how many times I've seen people on instagram saying how amazing the Boy Brow is, or the amount of Balm Dotcoms I've seen. In fact, the one I've seen people talk about the least has been the Perfecting Skin Tint. So why did I decided to pick it up you might ask...

Glossier Perfecting Skin Tint mini review and why I decided to buy it

Don't worry, I plan on doing a full review of the Perfecting Skin Tint, but I wanted to explain why I decided on it- because it's the consequence of a new approach to make up I've been having lately.

Don't get me wrong- I'm still a very big fan of bold eyes and bold lips looks I love, but it's been different with my skin. Lately I've been liking the glow from my skin, feeling for the first time ever that it is a healthy glow, and not one caused by the oiliness in my skin.

Up until now, my favorite make up bases have been the old formula of the Make Up Forever HD Foundation (the reformulation is trash) and the MAC Pro Longwear Foundation. I don't like full coverage foundations because the look is too unnatural for me, so these used to be perfect. But lately I've been falling out of love with these too (well, the MAC one that is the one I own), I feel like my skin looks too flat, deprived of the natural, healthy glow that it now has. And I'm never able to bring it back even with the holy trinity- highlight, contouring and blush.

I decided to buy the Glossier Perfecting Skin Tint because it's supposed to be that, a skin tint, evening out the skin tone, but covering next to nothing. I was also sold on it when I read this review and saw how amazingly well it photographs.

All of the Glossier orders, at least for what I've seen, come with the box, the sticker and the bag, which I think is also part of the experience of buying from them, because it's what you always see. I was actually disappointed when I got my first Colourpop order and it didn't have the box or the card I always saw people photographing on instagram. I sadly didn't get the box because something happen with the service I used to ship it to my house, but it did arrive to them.

I received also their You perfume sample, which is a weird sample of a perfume just a smelly cupboard to be honest (it's one of those that you have to rub for the scent to come out). I'm very meh about it, I think if I could actually try it on my skin it would be different.

If you wish to buy from Glossier you can shop through this link and you'll get 10% off (I also get money if you do, so if you're not comfortable with it, no problem). Now about the shipping... no, they do not ship to Spain, or worldwide for that matter. They did accept my Spanish card tho. I bought it as I explained in this entry on how I buy to online USA stores.
